Ktarh Phonology

Don't mind the epic title, it's not much. Basically, here I will describe the phonology of the Ktarh language. Phonotactics: later. Not enough energy now.

Intro

The Ktarh language, known formally as Ktarherarh  S'naton (Speech of the Rulers), is a simple language, from the phonetical point of view (grammar's a bit brutal, tho)
In the IPA, the name would be rendered as [ktarxɛrarx sʔnaton].

Consonants

The stuff of speech, if we exclude the funny singable sounds. There are precisely twelve consonants in Kti:
[t] (t)
[d] (d)
[k] (k)
[ʔ] ( ' )
[s] (s)
[z] (z)
[ʃ] (sh)
[ʒ] (zh)
[x] (h)
[m] (m)
[n] (n)
[r] (r)
In the boxy brackets are the IPA representations, and in not so boxy brackets the orthographical variants.

Vowels

In Kti, the ratio of consonants to standard vowels is 2:1, although, diphthongs and triphthongs included, it is reduced to 6:5.
The standard vowels, 6 of them there are, are as follows:
[i] (i)
[a] (a)
[ɛ] (e)
[o] (o)
[u] (u)
[ɞ͍] (æ)

Diphthongs

[ɑy] (ai)
[uy] (ui)
[æ] (ua)
[] (ia)
[yɞ͍] (iæ)
They're generally easy to pronounce, just keep your tongue in check and everything will work properly. Note that what follows isn't as easy.

Triphthongs

[eyɑ] (eia)
[ɑyɞ͍] (aie)
[ʊyæ] (uiæ)

Vowel-Consonant Mixes

The crap everybody hates.
[ɑke] (ake)
[ʊnɞ͍:] (unæ)
[a:do] (ado)
[æ:do] (edo)
[y:do] (ido)
[kɞ͍:n] (kun)
This stuff has little use other than to be spoken... and... stuffs.
